Founded With a Heart for the Gospel
Born from a young believer’s dream, Pleasant View remains committed to proclaiming the gospel and loving our community.

Pleasant View Baptist Church was founded in 1935 out of the God‑given vision of a young man who longed for a place where Scripture could be taught and Christ could be shared in his community. What began as a simple Sunday School in the old Via Schoolhouse grew into a missionary Baptist church committed to teaching the Bible, proclaiming the gospel, and serving families of all ages. From those early days of borrowed literature, volunteer teachers, and a one‑room church, Pleasant View has continued to follow God’s call with faith, perseverance, and a heart for missions — a legacy that still shapes who we are today.

We recognize that everything we have is a gift from God, and because He has entrusted us with His blessings, our church family seeks to give faithfully and generously through our tithes and offerings. As Pleasant View Baptist Church looks toward the future, we remain grateful for God’s faithfulness and prayerful about how He will continue to lead us. Our desire is to serve our community with a steady commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.
