Rooted in Faith. Growing Through Generations. Reaching Our Community.

Born from a young believer’s God-given vision, Pleasant View Baptist Church has remained committed to proclaiming the Gospel, teaching God’s Word, and loving our community.

Pleasant View was founded in 1935, beginning with a simple Sunday School in the old Via Schoolhouse. What started with borrowed literature, volunteer teachers, and a one-room church grew into a missionary Baptist congregation dedicated to sharing Christ and serving families of all ages.

Through the years, God has faithfully led Pleasant View through seasons of growth and change. Our roots run deep in Scripture, faith, service, and missions, and that heritage continues to shape who we are today.

We recognize that everything we have is a gift from God. As He has blessed and entrusted us with resources, we seek to respond through faithful and generous giving, using what He provides to support the work of His church and the mission He has given us.

As we look toward the future, we do so with gratitude for God’s faithfulness and prayer for His continued leading. Our desire is to remain rooted in His Word, faithful to His truth, and committed to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission—loving God, loving others, making disciples, and sharing the Gospel.

Our roots remind us where God has brought us. Our faith points us toward where He is leading us.

Come put down roots at Pleasant View.
